"Rapunzel,
Rapunzel, let down your hair!" Louise at age 15 (1925) - According to her sister, Ruth (Alexander) Bryant, these masses of hair were washed by getting 2 chairs, one to sit on and one to set a dishpan on, and then go to it!
Their Dad used to help Ora wash her hair in this manner. Their
hair was put in a braid when it was cut off. - Photo
