U.S. Civil Service
Commission State of Availability for Gloria L. Alexander dated July 30,
1943. "This is my honorable discharge from the Hill Field Air
Force Base where I re-repaired [sic] air plane generators. This
enabled me to earn a higher wage when I became a Rosie the Riveter at a
defense plant in Spokane, WA. We riveted cradles for air plane
wings. I started to work there October 6, 1943 and came back to my
home ranch in June 1944." - Contributed by Gloria Alexander
