Obituary - Bozeman Daily Chronicle, Sunday, Nov. 16, 1947.  Mrs. J. E. Redman Passes Here at Age of 79 Years.  Mrs. James E. (Lottie) Redman, 79, a pioneer resident of the west, died here Saturday.  She had been ailing for the past year since coming to Bozeman to be with a son, E. E. Redman, 206 South Eighth, assistant Gallatin forest supervisor.  Mrs. Redman, daughter of a pioneer family which had settled near Yankton, S. D. in 1866, had lived all her life in the west.  She was born at Yankton, S.D., Oct. 6, 1868 and grew to womanhood there.  The family settled near Cora, Wyo., in 1888 to operate a cattle ranch.  She was married to James E. Redman at Montpelier, Idaho, in 1900.  The family ranched until 1914.  That year they moved to Pocatello, Idaho, when Redman become a railroad man until his death in 1940.
 
Obituary - Pocatello Tribune, Monday, Nov. 17, 1947, p 2.  Mrs. Lottie A. Redman. Funeral services for Mrs. Lottie A. Redman, 79, who died Saturday at Bozeman, Mont., will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the McHan-Henderson funeral chapel. Rev. J. Willis Hamblin of the First Presbyterian church will officiate. Born, Oct. 6, 1868 in Yankton, S.D. she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Alexander. In 1880 she went to Cora, Idaho1 where they settled on a cattle ranch. Coming to Pocatello in 1914 with her husband James E. Redman, she lived on a farm north of the city. Mr. Redman died May 13, 1940. For the past year Mrs. Redman had been in Bozeman with a son, Elliott Redman. Survivors are one son, two brothers, W. J. and Eugene A.2 Alexander, both of Cora, Idaho1, and four grandchildren. Burial will be in the family plot in Mountainview cemetery.

Obituary - The Pocatello Tribune, Friday, May 17, 1940, p. 3.  James E. Redman.  Funeral services for James E. Redman were held Thursday with Bishop James A. Quinn officiating.  Rampton Barlow, accompanied by Russel Baldwin, sang.  Pallbearers were Ira Chaffin, James Headlee, J. W. Lauridsen, L. D. Darrah, C. R. Connelly and J. W. Simmonson.  Ladies who cared for the flowers were Mrs. C. R. Connelly, Mrs. L. C. Darrah and Miss Jane Darrah.  Interment was in Mountain View cemetery, under the direction of Portneuf lodge No. 20, I.O.O.F.
